A Perfect Finish Community Impact Scholarship

Here at A Perfect Finish Painting, we wanted to create a community-oriented scholarship program that gives back to our city and helps provide financial gain to the student awarded this scholarship.

The scholarship requires that applicants organize a program that gives back to the community.  It can be orchestrating coat drives, mobilizing a team for highway cleanups, senior living help, shelter work, etc. The options are limitless and the winner will be receiving a check from us to apply to the school of their selection.

We are committed and would LOVE to raise the funds to match that number with help from you! If you feel inclined to donate to help the chosen senior with a jumpstart on their college funds, we know it will mean the world to one lucky student and can really set the tone for future applicants with this scholarship program

Frequently Asked Questions

Appliances: We will pull out the refrigerator far enough to paint behind (if applicable) but we will not disconnect any water lines or electrical to mitigate any risks of spoiled foods or water leaks. Please note that if we have to move the fridge we assume no liability of damaged floors in that process.

Pets: We LOVE your furry friends and do not mind them being in the property as we work. However, please be aware of some of the potential risks of them being on site while we are producing work. Eg; escapes through an open door, paw prints tracked through the home, spilt buckets or equipment, chewing on misc. debris from our painting process, and most likely painted tails/ears 😉 Many homeowners will opt to keep their animals isolated from the work space or out to the doggy spa.

Kids: We also love children and we do not expect you to ship them off through the duration of the project but, ironically, they are prone to some of the same risks as our puppies so please practice safe distances from messy work spaces and heavy equipment when we are servicing your home.

Wall Art: Upon arrival we will need any decor off of the walls prior to our painting. If a nail is left in the wall we will assume that a picture goes back up in that spot, if the nail is pulled then we will plug and paint over that hole.

Cover Plates: Removal and reinstallation is included in our standard operating procedure.

Furniture: Per our terms and conditions (attached to your estimate) we do need three to four feet of access to all walls. The more space we have, the more efficiently we can move through your project.

Arrival Times: Each project may vary but we generally aim to arrive between 8:00-9:00 am M-F. Your project manager will communicate the following days game plan as your project progresses.

Access: Depending on if you will be home while we are working on the project, some people will give us a garage code, garage opener, or front door key so we may come and go freely to grab materials, take lunch, etc.

Clean Up: We will pick up tools and store equipment in a staging are that we agree upon on the first day of the project. Please understand that the nature of this work can be a bit messy feeling while we are transforming your space. There will likely be dust and miscellaneous debris. Depending on the scope of the project, it may not be a bad idea to plan for a house cleaning after the project is complete.

Duration of Project: We do try to set expectations early on when it comes to the duration of the project but sometimes unforeseen obstacles may occur.

Who to Contact with Questions: At any time you may have a question of a concern with a part of your project you may contact the office or your project manager through a direct call, text , or email and we will reply as promptly as possible.

Pressure Washing: Please be sure to close up all of the windows prior to our arrival so that we don’t accidentally get water in the interior of the home. Please make sure that the water spigots are in good working order and water is turned on.

Cars: Keeping cars stored in the garage, or on the street is usually a good idea, if a car is in the driveway we can tarp it off but we ask that you please avoid that whenever possible.

Kids/Pets: We ask that dogs be kept inside during our painting project and if they need to be let outside, that you do that with them on a leash so that we don’t have any attempted escapes. We also ask that you please pick up their waste from the yard prior to our arrival so that we do not accidentally track it around the property. Please be aware that during the project we are often removing loose paint and using tools/sundries that result in debris on the property that can be harmful if your pet takes interest in chewing on it so keep a watchful eye when letting the dog in/out after we depart for the day. This also applies to any young children, we do our best to clean up after ourselves but on occasion a loose nail or other harmful debris may get missed. Lets work together to keep everyone safe from a potential accident.

Decor on House/Doors: Please have any painted surfaces clear of decor. If there is a nail that is left up where decor goes, we will assume something is going back on that nail, if the nail is pulled we will plug and paint over it. As for Christmas light nails- please discuss with project manager whether you’d like them to be left up or pulled out.

Conduit, Utilities, Wiring, Radon unit etc: Unless otherwise instructed, we will plan to paint these surfaces to blend into the body of the house.

Landscaping: Whenever possible, we ask that homeowners have shrubs/ trees trimmed away from the house so that we can easily access the siding and trim with our ladders and to protect your damage from potential damage caused by rubbing/scraping. Painting a home requires a lot of foot traffic throughout the property, this can mat down grasses and other areas required to access in order to paint the home.

House Lighting: We do not remove or replace lighting fixtures, if you wish to have the siding behind your fixtures painted, please have them removed prior to our arrival.

House Address Numbers: Often times, homeowners will update their house numbers after we paint, please note that we do not install house numbers with a different profile from the previous ones.

Access: We usually do not need anyone to be home in order to complete your project. We just need the gates to be unlocked, access to water, and working exterior outlets. If no one is available to open the doors to allow us to paint the edges of the door and let it dry out, we will only be able to paint what is accessible while the door is closed.
